Crafty Christmas Trees
Here’s a few simple creative ideas to keep kids occupied in the lead up to Christmas.
This is a great ‘mark making’ exercise for little ones, using the pencil to print in lots of different ways. No paint brush required, just an old pencil a sheet of paper or card, and some water based paints.
. . . this simple Christmas Tree design is made from just one Paper Plate.
All you need is a sheet of paper or card, some glue, a little bit of tape, a pencil, scissors and some festive paints . . . I’ve also used a hole punch to make the baubles but you could easily use glitter, sequins, or just rolled up bits of paper or tin foil.
. . . or try this Christmas Tree which is made from just one half of a paper plate. The first ‘cut-out’ part is a little tricky but you can fold the shape back ‘open’ and cut one side and then the other so that there are less layers to snip through. You could paint the tree too, or use some glitter. I’ve kept mine simple here and just used a hole-punch to make some ‘snow’ and also to punch out some baubles from a scrap piece of cardboard packaging. (love a Toblerone!)
